Eight Texture Directions
These names describe the visible and tactile surface of papers we can currently source. They are neutral descriptors — not claims that a paper is an exact internationally named Linen, Felt, Laid, Vellum or Martele stock. Availability is confirmed during quoting.
Rough Woodgrain Texture
A directional, woodgrain-style surface for packaging that needs a natural or crafted character. Of the requests we receive for woodgrain paper labels, most pair this direction with bold, generous type — the lines carry fine detail on their own.
Coarse-Grain Texture
A pronounced granular surface that adds visible texture to a label background. Coarse-grain paper labels suit designs where the paper itself is the pattern — solid-color art and simple marks benefit most.
Vintage Ripple Texture
An irregular, ripple-like surface for designs that call for a more expressive sheet. Ripple textured paper labels photograph beautifully — the undulations shift between light and shadow as the bottle turns.
Crosshatch / Linen-Look Texture
A grid-like surface with a woven visual effect. Crosshatch textured paper labels are the practical answer when a brief asks for a linen appearance — a visual alternative we can source, not a claim that this is an exact Linen stock.
Semi-Translucent White Textured Paper
A lighter white sheet with a subtly translucent appearance and a soft surface. We do not describe it as Vellum — that is a named international grade we make no claim to supply. Where label opacity matters, review a physical sample before approving artwork.
Deep-Relief Texture
A sheet with stronger visible topography for brands seeking a more tactile label. The relief is in the paper itself — it is not created by post-print embossing, which is a separate process you would specify and budget for.
Black Textured Paper
Black textured paper delivers a refined, sophisticated appearance, while gold foil stamping adds an even stronger sense of luxury. It is especially well suited for premium applications such as wine, perfume, candles, coffee, spirits, and high-end food products.
Gold-Flecked Decorative Textured Paper
A decorative textured sheet with built-in gold-fleck detail — the metallic specks are already part of the paper. Gold-flecked paper labels bring this character to every label in the run; it is distinct from hot-foil stamping, which is a separate finishing process applied after printing.
A texture is a lighting condition you cannot turn off. It flatters bold art and punishes hairline type — brief us with your real artwork, and we will tell you honestly which of the eight directions carries it.

Texture, Embossing and Foil Are Different Choices
